Christopher Coleman
R.TCMP
Christopher Coleman is a Registered Practitioner of Traditional Chinese Medicine (R.TCMP) and active member of the College of Complementary Health Professionals of BC (CCHPBC). While attending the Oshio School of Acupuncture and Herbology, he received extensive training in Acupuncture and Chinese Herbal Medicine, as well as many other traditional Chinese medicine modalities including: cupping, gua sha, tuina, diet and nutritional counselling, health and wellness, and Qi Gong/Tai chi.
Health and Wellness has been a lifelong pursuit for Chris. Earlier in life, he attended the Physical Education program at the University of Victoria where he earned a Bachelor’s of Education. Here he showed great interest in athletic injuries and worked with the UVIC Vikes Rugby team as an athletic trainer. This led him to spend many years in the Ski industry working as a Ski Patroller, and as a first aid attendant and health and safety officer while labouring in the forestry industry.
It was through his own injuries that he discovered acupuncture. At the time, he was having great difficulty healing, and acupuncture was pivotal in changing that trajectory. This made a great impression on him and he decided to continue the healing process while attending school and learning how to practice Traditional Chinese Medicine. Now he is very happy to bring both his knowledge and his experiences into practice, so he can help others on their path to healing, improving health and wellness, and living a balanced life.
